I had the privilege of working with South London Press, a publication deeply committed to covering meaningful stories that reflect the realities of local communities. Through my work, I captured powerful narratives that highlighted the voices and experiences of those often overlooked. I documented the emotional toll of 4,500 empty homes in a borough where thousands remain on the housing waitlist, exposed unsafe living conditions in flood-damaged flats riddled with mould, and showcased the impact of Sadiq Khan’s £140 million initiative for free school meals. I also captured efforts to break the cycle of reoffending through a community shop employing ex-offenders, offering them a chance at reintegration. Alongside these, I covered many other stories that reflected the resilience, challenges, and hopes of the people I photographed, using my lens to foster empathy and advocate for change.
