Brent Council - Windrush Tea Party

I had the pleasure of photographing Brent Council's Windrush Tea Party in Gladstone Park, a heartwarming celebration honouring the Windrush generation and their contributions to British society. The event brought together local residents for an afternoon of joy and reflection, with music, storytelling, and shared memories. A highlight of the day was The Anchor, The Drum, The Ship, a powerful horticultural display by Harun Ishere, symbolising the journey, resilience, and cultural impact of those who arrived on the HMT Empire Windrush. It was an honour to document such a meaningful moment in the community, surrounded by elders whose stories continue to shape British history.
