The Brixton Project - Windrush 75 Commemoration

I had the honour of documenting Lambeth Council's Windrush 75 proceedings, in collaboration with The Brixton Project, to mark the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain. Capturing this moment felt deeply personal, as the event paid tribute to the resilience, culture, and contributions of the Windrush generation and their descendants. From powerful speeches to moving performances, the day was filled with pride and reflection, as the community gathered to honour this historic legacy. It was a privilege to be trusted with visually preserving such an important moment in British history.
